Jane was founded in 2012 and is an online platform for health and wellness practitioners that makes it simple to book, chart, schedule, bill and get paid.The system has a number of nifty features, such as allowing users to indicate whether patients have arrived for their appointment, providing information pertaining to no shows and facilitating the process for penalty fees linked to no show, the ability to provide gift cards or vouchers to patients as well as entering credit card details for a patient as a payment method and automatically sending receipts. Another great feature is the ability to view statistics for patients, such as total bookings, number of no shows, number of days since last visit, claim amount outstanding, etc. Due to the fact that Jane was specifically developed for health and wellness practitioners, the system has other features that aren't included in other generic appointment scheduling software, these include, but are not limited to, charting (chart templates are even provided) and insurance claim facilitation. Patients have access to their patient profile and can view, cancel or reschedule appointments as well as view their appointment history. Jane also allow customers to offer secure telehealth video sessions which are fully integrated into their Jane account. This feature is PIPEDA and HIPAA compliant. The user interface is well designed and aesthetically pleasing to the eye.
